Flow Measurement
The flowprobes have been designed to work in conjunction with the CMR V-Sensor. The V-Sensor is a wall mount micromanometer calibrated transmitter which provides linear output signal in m/s or
m3/s. This means the most important part of
velocity sensing is the V-Sensor. In order to actually read a velocity pressure in the duct a number of different veloprobes and flowprobes as well as flowgrids are utilised.
Duct Velocity Veloprobes
The stainless steel Veloprobe set is available in any length and is purpose made for each duct. The Veloprobes can be turned and therefore tuned to be pitot tube equivalent.
Mounting Arrangement for Veloprobes
The CMR stainless-steel Veloprobes or the round aluminium Flowprobes can be mounted onto a stainless steel plate together with the V-Sensor making it a compact airflow measurement station.
Round Flowprobes
The round Flowprobes have been designed to measure airflows in many different duct locations. They can be installed in almost any position except in front of modulating dampers. All round Flowprobes are made to suit the duct sizes and can be built as a Flow grid.
Flow Grid / Velo Grid
The Flow grid frame size can be specified and shall have proper flanges to be mounted into standard duct sections.
Typical Flowprobe applications
Oval Flowprobe for Attenuators
The oval Flowprobe was designed especially for fitting into attenuator passage-ways. To obtain an overall average flow measurement one could fit a Flowprobe in each passage-way and use the CMR red and blue tube to connect all hi and all low pressures together with the CMR T-pieces.
